Once players have developed basic tennis fundamentals and racquet skills in the Ralleyball (or similar) program, they are ready for an introduction to competitive tennis skills and matchplay.
With continued emphasis on developing players' core fundamentals in a fun environment, students quickly develop into skilled tennis players.
Jr. Academy players learn not only the skills, but how to play the GAME, keep score, and play matches.

Our Summer Jr. Academy program features regular matchplay with local clubs throughout the South Bay. Team matches help Jr. Academy players develop team skills, learn matchplay etiquette, and sportsmanship. Part of the Interclub format also allows players to get the invaluable benefit of on-court coaching.
In addition to the six-week summer league, players will also gain valuable experience with on-going matchplay as part of the LGTA Jr. Academy Team ladder. |

No program is more dedicated to the modern game of tennis. Our USPTA Award-Winning Staff are true students of the game and echo the USTA motto that, "Tennis is a sport for life!"
With fundamentals at the forefront of LGTA's philosophy, every skill has been broken down and evaluated to find the most efficient, effective and natural way to give players the most power, control and consistency with the least amount of stress and strain on the body. LGTA is an 8 Board Certified Academy. |
|
By using a non-linear approach to technique our students learn an effortless and graceful style of tennis. We take a proactive approach to teach players the proper grips and techniques to prevent injuries. |
|
LGTA has a highly developed Footwork & Fitness program. Athletes are trained in a variety of exercises to build strength, quickness, flexibility and endurance specific to the game of Tennis. It is no secret that better fitness translates to a more confident athlete, physically and mentally. LGTA is an Etcheberry Certified Academy. |

Players learn how to control their body language and always project a confident fighter image. Players learn how to be resilient under stressful matchplay situations and how to set performance goals to improve at every opportunity. LGTA players learn to "See it and believe it," and "Every point is a new battle." |
